HMI has performed national data quality inititatives while assisting various pharmaceutical companies on data studies with specific objectives. HMI has been the leading education and software company across the UK dedicated to the implementation of the ICD-10 diagnosis classification.

  

HMI has been instrumental in assisting Merck Frosst Canada with the provincial approvals of several of their new medications and has developed mechanisms for determining Canadian healthcare costs across each province.

  

HMI has demonstrated its ability to combine linguistic skills and 'investigative' data collection by determining cost of cardiac procedures and the costs related to caring for hip fracture patients. This study was performed across 10 hospitals and three regions within Spain.

  

HMI assisted the Swiss Ministry of Health to develop a nationally distributed video on the use of information and the implementation of the ICD-10 diagnosis classification. Additionally, HMI developed MEDICUS, a computer based training program in both German and French to assist medical staff in developing clinical coding skills.
